Google news I/O 2014
On 25th and 26th of June, was held in San Francisco the Google I/O event for developers. Many new features were announced, including among others the following news we consider relevant for Google Apps administrators:
- A faster, redesigned Google Drive
- Edit Microsoft Office Files in Chrome and Chrome OS
- Seamless editing of Office files with Google Docs, Spreadsheets and Presentations apps
- Suggested edits in Google Docs
- Activity view, link sharing and more with new Google Drive mobile app
- Better document and image viewing experience in Gmail and Google Drive
- Dedicated desktop home pages for Google Docs, Sheets & Slides
- Restore a user’s Google Drive files
